JENNIFER HESS, PRINCIPAL AND FOUNDER
Jennifer earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from the University of Georgia and has more than 30 years of experience leveraging her network of relationships across the country to plan and implement incredibly successful media strategies for companies in the healthcare, home services, hospitality and non-profit sectors. Before being an entrepreneur, her experience at a national television rep firm, advertising agencies in New York, Houston, and Orlando, Coca-Cola, KTXH-TV and Metro Networks has provided great insight into all sides of the media business.
Jenn’s ability to see the media plan as an integral part of the client’s marketing strategy helps her to go beyond media planning in the traditional sense, creating lasting and mutually beneficial promotional partnerships amongst her clients.
Hess Media is proud to have grown into a family business. After 35 years in the broadcast and digital industry, Jenn’s husband Jim enthusiastically signed on to be CMO helping to the grow and manage Hess Media. Their sons, Jordan and Jensen, are also key contributors. Jordan, previously an Account Manager at KPRC Channel 2 (NBC) & KHOU Channel 11 (CBS), serves as Vice President of Client Relations and is their liaison in Houston. Jensen, previously on the Promotions Team with JVC Broadcasting, is the Media Coordinator and wearing many hats coordinating campaigns, processing payables and receivables. Following the loss of their son and brother, Jameson, in September 2016, Jennifer was inspired to become an advocate for parents of children fighting drug addiction and is working to reform current HIPAA laws as a first step in creating change.
Hess Media is happily based in Gallatin, Tennessee (a suburb of Nashville). They have two more “assistants” – Jonah, a Central Asian Shepherd, and Leroy Brown, Aussiedoodle.
